Machined Weldments
Complex Components
Weldments is a welding process where structural sections are cut to size and held together, typically for structural members and parts. Independent components are combined to an assembly to create the basis of a weldment.
The weldment machining process includes drilling, boring, milling, etc to the same part. Welded components become the final finished part after a machining process is completed.
Examples of weldments include:
- Machine bases
- Column bases
- Brackets
- Pivot pin assembly
- Bearing housings
- Crusher and processing equipment housing
